Volunteer for TAB
What is the TAB?
The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) gives teens the opportunity to participate in and influence teen services at the Watsonville Public Library. TAB advises the library on teen interests and trends.
What does the TAB do?
- Suggest, plan and help run teen programs
- Promote and encourage library use by teens.
- Provide suggestions or recommendations on materials (books, movies, music) to purchase for the teen collection.
Who can join?
Anyone in Grades 6-12 is welcome.
When does TAB meet?
1st Friday of the month between September and May at 4:00pm at the Main Library.

What kind of time commitment is there?
TAB meets once per month for an hour to discuss issues that relate to teens and the library.
In addition, you may choose to spend time each month writing reviews, volunteering for programs, or doing other TAB activities.
To be a member one must…
- Be able to attend monthly meetings and be an active participant.
- Be a responsible library user.
- Help promote usage of the library by teens.
- Be willing to participate in TAB discussions and activities.
- Be able to respect the opinions and ideas of others.
- Enjoy working with others as a team.
- Have an interest in the library and improving library services for teens
