MAD: Manga Anime Dominion

Next Meeting: Friday, December 12th - Main Library Meeting Room
Time: 3:30pm
Cost: FREE!
Where: Main Library Meeting Room or Freedom Branch Homework Center

MAD is open to all students in the 6th - 12th grades. If you are 13 or younger, but still in 6th grade, you will need to bring a signed Anime Club Permission Form with you to the meeting.

At our December 12th meeting, we will be watching more Ghost Hunt (TV14)! All of us there decided we needed to see more next time, so we will! Will the ghost hunters and exorcists be able to free the young girl from the demonic doll? You can learn more about it at FUNimation's web site! If you like ghosts, the supernatural and a little drama, you won't want to miss it. We also have some of the manga here at our library too.

I've also requested to show Mushi-shi (TV14) at our December 12th meeting. It's also a supernatural drama - with a mushi hunter who exorcises troublesome mushi from people. In fact, if I didn't know better, I'd think we were watching the same thing as Ghost Hunt…. Except that Mushi-shi has a fantasy feel to it and is set in a more historical time. That and they aren't really ghosts so much as they are mushi -- something more akin to nature spirits (kami) than ghosts. You can read more about the show here.

I am always taking requests for what you'd like to see - be it something new or something that's been out a while!

Great things are ahead for MAD - so check back often!

=^-^= I look forward to seeing you there! Eva (enottage @ ci.watsonville.ca.us)
