Display Case Guidelines

Our display cases are available to the community to showcase exhibits of cultural, civic or educational interest. Watsonville Public Library administration will determine the appropriateness of all materials. The name of the organization or individual must be included in the display. Acceptance of a display request does not constitute endorsement of a group or individual.

The display period is four weeks, beginning on the 1st of the month and ending on the last day of the month. Please let us know if you are requesting a longer display period.

We will be as considerate of your materials as we are of all materials in the Library. We cannot be responsible for loss, damage, or other problems while the materials are on display at Watsonville Public Library, or while they are being installed or removed. Each display case has a small lock. You are welcome to view the display area.

The dimensions and locations of the two display cases are:

  1. Harris Case - 30" wide x 16" deep x 6' tall (Main Library)
  2. Freedom Library Case - 18" x 19" deep x 54" tall (three fixed shelves all 18" apart)

After you receive acceptance of your request for a certain display time, you may install your display on the noted start date. Please bring identification to show to staff. If you will not be able to come in on that date, please notify the Administrative Secretary at (831) 768-3406. You should be prepared to remove your display on or before the last date. We cannot store materials left in the case past the agreed-upon end date.

Complete an application, submit it to a Library staff member at a public desk, and we will contact you within five working days about your request.
