Library Card Policy
On the back of every library card issued from the Watsonville Public Library is the statement "I accept responsibility for all materials borrowed on this card, which must be presented each time loans are made." For the security of patron information and the smooth operation of all library transactions, it is the policy of the library to require that customers present a valid library card before checking out materials or reserving an Internet workstation.
If you do not have your library card with you at the time you wish to check out materials or use a reserved Internet station, the following procedures are in place to make sure you can still use the services that the library provides.
Material Check out
Items will be held at the Circulation Desk for up to three days, until you return with your card.
If your card is lost, you may pay for a new card, which will be issued immediately.
If you do not have funds available to pay for the lost card, the amount of the replacement fee will be added to your library fines account (one time only).
